Nice blue steel Luftwaffe buckle

Hi all,

I was searching for a decent belt and buckle for my tropical blue Luftwaffe flak tunic, and came across this buckle. It's my firat EM buckle. It has really nice detail to the eagle, I'm happy with this piece for my tunic display....

It looks to be possibly an Assmann buckle. Very sharp details.

Thank YOU. I didn't have any idea who the maker was, there are no markings on the buckle anywhere. I was glad to find such a nice piece though.

Luft buckle

Hello Robert,

Very nice indeed. Not often do you get one, even in steel, that's "been there" and still retains breast feather details to that extent. Good find.

It matches the wear my tunic has also, buttons showing the same wear to them. The belt, although black, is a good match too. I'm just waiting for the right blue web to come along. But I'm really happy with this buckle. It looks even better in hand.
