It is called a werewolf buckle, I dont really know much about these but there are lots of threads on them, Guido has just done a thread on one if you read further down

Hello I don't know who got it, but I wanted it and got out bid. I wish I had been near a computer. It's a great buckle that's in very few collections. Kirby

I was shocked at how much this buckle sold for. I have one in my collection-in fact I had two and sold one three years ago to another Forum member. Had I only known. Kirby I too was planning on bidding on the buckle but when it reached $400 I gave it up. I am glad the winner, who I also know got it, but at a really surprisingly high price.

It didn't surprise me it went for $525. A decent SS EM can bring $500. Didn't close to a million men serve in the SS at one time. How many were in the Wehrwolf? Kirby
