    2 New HJ buckles

I picked these 2 buckles up from a vet grouping and was wondering if the belt (that was attached to the 2nd buckle with the rounded catch) was a heer belt originally? The reason I ask is the tip or catch is painted green -- did the HJ have green painted belt tips. (the belt is brown dyed black)

            HJ Buckle

Sorry I can't help you with your belt question, but I sure like the second HJ buckle posted with the "crimped catch". Very nice.

Thanks Steve. I was wondering about that catch -- I don't see them very often. I suppose it is just a maker variance.

I've observed this type of catch on HJ, DAF, and Reichsbahn buckles and no others that I can think of.

I attribute this catch to Assmann though others say other manufactures used this type of catch however, I have yet to see an example of a different manufacture other than Assmann.
