            Hello,

            good point !

            By the pics the prongs appear not replaced, even if not standard for an Assmann buckle.

            I guess a closely inspection under magnification could confirm it

              Interesting observation about the prongs....on the steel buckles such as these it is just about impossible to replace the prongs without causing noticable damage to the sleeve as the sleeve is steel too...one would have to replace the whole prong assembly...I think just a variant prong assembly...look for signs of the whole piece have been replaced...try to look where the pointy parts of the prong touch the back of the buckle and see if you can see the markings on the back of the buckle...if they conform you should be okay.
