A nice variant and not easy to find.

Perhaps I may echo Ric's response. I would add though that this really quite super and in theory non RZM regulation buckle, is very rare.

I think that the title of this thread is a little misleading... this is not necissarily a variant, it is a DAF made from a "different material"...the nickel silver DAF buckle is an odity, and very seldom seen . I do believe the DAF buckle was only sanctioned to be made in aluminum... I think that is what is being showcased in this thread...by the way , the buckles shown are beautiful!!! Chad

you are looking for a rare beast!! the pebbled one is quite rare...Marc has posted examples before, but I have never seen one for sale .... your nickel DAF is very nice..Chad

Super nickle silver DAF-Werkschar that you have shown. I still think that the nickle silver and steel examples of this buckle are jolly rare.

You should not have too much trouble in securing an aluminium example by Paul Cramer und Cie., as the appear from time to time.

Attached are two examples of the RZM M4/44.

Incidentally, I think that there are still some collectors who regard the aluminium RZM M4/44 with deep suspicions.
