    ss buckle no markings

    hello,
a couple of months ago I recieved from an old man that lives in my neighbourhood a ss buckle. he found it after the war and used it till a few months ago as buckle for his coverall .
    Now I've got 2 questions;
Why are there no codes or markings in/on it.
    what is it worth?

    1.

    2.

    thnx
    grtz

          hello,
it's weird because the man found it like a couple of blocks from my house.
what could be the price range?
because I got it for free with a damaged belt.
          thnx very much.
          grtz

A close up of the area right in front of the catch would be helpful. It looks to me as if the markings have been removed by grinding.

                      well,
                      thnx allot everybody.

It's one of my coolest objects of my collection, just because it was found near my house (belgium, leuven).
is there any way if I can find wich ss Btl. has been there at the end of the war?
                      Grtz
