that is a original Stahlhelmbund buckle. It is the official version and not a special variant.

This is the most common of this style of "Der Stahlhelm" buckle. With that said I would be careful of this one. There are a number of good fakes of this pattern. I just, as a rule stay away from the ones with the footed catches(especially the ones that have the triangle shape on the top of the foot) and the sleeved prong bars. The aging on this one bothers me as well. Most of these buckles are just worn , you don't see to many dug. That is not to say it makes it bad but certainly suspect. There are enough of these out there that I would pass on this if for no other reason the poor condition.
