The buckle is good , but I suspect that it has been re-painted.

IMO paint is original

I am in agreement with Bill on this one. From the photos, the upper section of the front of the buckle looks like original paint but the front lower section and reverse of buckle looks like a re-paint.

I'm also considering a repaint.....Hands on would certainly confirm it. You can always ask for more pictures in different lighting.
