    ss buckle for review

    could you let me know what you think of this buckle, i ahve already been burned on one buckle, i hope this one is ok. thanks for looking, sorry for the pics, i know they are not the greatest.

      This one is also a well known old English fake.
      I've heard, hat the number on the buckle should be a part of his telephone number.

        .............and OLT stands for Oliver Tony, first and last name of the British reproducer.

            saw one of these at a fair in farnham a couple of months ago.these still catch new collectors.i had to stop some one forking out 210 pounds on it

              I was told once that reproducer was a former musician from a very known band and number was part of his London telephone number

                  This buckle was one of the very early SS EM fakes. It fooled a lot of collectors until it was finally realized as a bad buckle. At some point a few years ago someone got the bright idea of sanding off the markings. These also fooled a lot of people for some time before it was discovered. the really interesting aspect of this buckle was the catch placement which was right on for correctness. The other fakes at the time had the catch attached on the flat area in front of the stamped out front piece.

                    1 just gone on ebay as genuine but its a fake as above, 190112662757 dont think it will last long as its breaking ebays rules
