The final year (?) and design RAD

Does anyone actually hold a RAD-Koppelschloss which displays a post 1939 date either on the reverse of the box or on the leather tongue ?

I never did have on marked past 39, but that buckle is beautiful, it is crisp..looks like it was made yesterday!! I love it..Chad

This is the German brother of your buckle!

I have also thought over this entitled question. All buckles of this type that I have seen schowed the years between 1936 and 1939.

According to the transition of most buckles in the year 1940, we should see a steel buckle if dated later than 1940. But I have never heard about such a buckle.
