I recently acquired this unmarked SS buckle from the widow of a Bulge veteran. Unusual? Value with no mark?

SS buckle no maker's mark
Thanks Scrooge and Hess for your replies. I am not a buckle collector, but wanted this one to go with a display, as it was coming from a reliable source. The missing catch is not important to me for my use. I wanted to be fair with the widow, and didn't really know a value, especially since it wasn't marked. Does anyone have a feel for a fair price with the missing catch and no maker's mark? Thanks.Don Bible

SS buckle no maker's mark
Hess, my normal field of collecting is the warrant discs and ID cards of the Gestapo and Kripo, and I have little collecting knowledge outside that field. I am putting together a display of the identification credentials of a member of the Gestapo and am trying to put together a colatteral display of other insignia that he would have worn....but not belonging to him. I needed an SS buckle for that display, and the missing catch was not important. As I had a chance to buy such a buckle from a widow whose husband had picked it up at the Battle of the Bulge, I was trying to establish a fair price to pay her. I sincerely thank you for your input.Don Bible
