I don’t like the 822/37 at first sight but all the rest looks good to me. Are there any markings under the prongs of the two steel middle ones??
              Beautiful RODO buckle!!!!

                Thanks,
No markings on two steels, the one you dislike is the same one I dislike, had a return and did not use it, I looked for buckles on the threads and saw that this was an original style so I kept it, shame on me, had the gut feeling and disregarded it. Thanks for the feedback, I have had the RODO for 15 years, vet bring back with a leather belt,

Only your 822/37 is a fake - certified. All others are genuine.
The unmarked are made by Overhoff between 1943 and 1945, the others you already certainly know.

So, better than 50/50 isn't it?

                    Thanks,
I honestly thought they were good with the exception of the 822/37, but you just can not be too sure any more, the fakes are getting quite good,

... but at least as of today, and this is a blessing, not 100% accurate.

OK...I give..what on the 822/37 gives it away as a fake? I don't collect buckels and looking at these I would have thought that might have been a good one..very crisp and all. I guess I'm glad I collect cloth.

                          Hi Greg,

For each fake SS buckle cast from the original (aluminum) there is still few details which are different on the fake when compared to the original. Such detail difference is valid only when comparing the exact same buckle, as for example original vs. fake 822/37, or original vs. fake 36/40. To notice such detail, you need first to perfectly know how the original is (and always been) and also know how the duplicate is. So, when you look at a specific SS buckle your eyes go to the exact spot. In other words, when I look at a 822/37 (or it's duplicate) I am checking different details than if it was a 36/40 or a 155/39.
Unfortunately, fakers did improve a lot those details over time, even well beyond what I supposed they will go. Fortunately, few majors are still visible as of today, and one is clearly there on this fake 822/37 (it is no one of the latest production).
I am sorry but I will not tell which one it is since the day they will change it I will also be doubtful and no longer certain, which is a sutuation I do not like a lot !!
To be honest, it is much more easier to know SS belt buckles than cloth: way less makers and models to know by heart !!
If Dave takes measurements of this buckle, he will find 2.44 inches long for 1.84 inches wide (external size) which is smaller than the original ( 2.54 long / 1.92 wide) which will confirm the fake.
