              Very nice and interesting buckle!!

What does the lettering say? Is it contemporary?

              Regards,

Very nice...is that a hand written date? 1938?

                Cheers...

Hi from what I can see it says April the 9th 1940 (the date of the invasion of Denmark) and next it says 5th of may ( I guess 1945 the date when the German troops surrendered in Denmark)

I think it was taken as a souvenir right after the war
                  Am I right Niklas?

                  Cheers

Together with the skull and cross bones badge makes this sense!

It is not a DAK buckle, but a normal and VERY nice Heer buckle
