WTF!!!!! Do people actually expect even the most novice collector to fall for that? Or is this just a novelty?

Hello I think this buckles been around since the early 70's. You could buy a nice original heer buckle for around $5 back then. Kirby

              Harry,
Also known as the "woodpecker" buckle, these solid brass buckles came out of UK in the 1970-71 period or at the same time as the now infamous fantasy Eikhorn "knife" buckles.

Josh - You'd be surprised at how many of these "non magnetic KM buckles," as they were known, ended up in older collections, before there were reference books or forums to go to for advice or knowledge. As Kirby pointed out, when good solid Heer or Luftwaffe buckles could be purchased for $5 then, or a righteous KM for $20-25, why would anyone fake a solid brass belt buckle was the logic amongst many younger collectors. Allot simpler times then, without the crop of excellent fakes we have today.

So then it was alot easyer to fake back then, you didnt even have to worry about the shoddyness of the fakes. It was just to make a little money back then.

                I understand now.
