A super Fire related buckle and I tend to agree with Sven in relation to what the double F represents.

I do like the ear-less box and toward which some of the chaps who specialise in Imperial buckles may be able to comment upon. Is this a characteristic of some Saxony buckles ?

How right you are though about the popularity (or lack of popularity) of this group. Grossly under rated in my opinion and a potentially fascinating and interesting area of collecting, albeit with limited reference works to support the subject.
