    "Rubberized" belt

    Dear All,

Just got this belt which is news to me. It looks like it is made of galvanized (rubberized) canvas. Was I just missing out on some info or are those rare? Does anybody know when the Germans started producing belts employing this production process? So far I have seen only post war Soviet belts made like this...

    Thanks and

    best regards,

    Albert

        Thanks David,

Radiator belts that's a well fitting term. I am glad that with "my" belt we can add a date to the discussion. Apparently, they were not only late war belts but produced as early as 1941

          The rubber belt...

          Dear Albert,

These are text-book originals! I have seen several of these and all were dated '1941' and produced by the same company. I think they are quite rare....

          Best regards,

          Coco

            Thanks Coco,

I had no doubt about the authenticity, just the production method struck me as unusual for that time period.
