    the NSBO buckle

    Hello,
by chance came across with this Buckle, I suppose a very early one
and have to say I'm very comfortable with it.
I'm pleased to share the Buckle with you to have your opinions.
I was told and you can see, there is the possibility that the ears never existed,
or that the ears were originally very, very slight.
    any ideas ?

    Good Luck.
    Alex.

An early NSBO buckle and rather nice too.

It is difficult to say as to whether the box started life with ears, however I suspect that they were probably once very sleight, rather than never having been there at all. I think that some of the chaps who collect Imperial era buckles will confirm that ear-less boxes are known and documented.

    Regards,

    David

      Hello, again me.
a little bit pity, there is no interest to my "beauty". I do like it.
a good idea came from David to ask "Imperial" guys to confirm or not, that such version was exited.
      Let us see.
meanwhile, have a look at Buckle with the same "problem"

        Alex,

The NSBO and FS buckles you have posted are original; just not in a completed state. Here is a representative of the FS buckle.

        Regards,

        Dan
