    I know there are some goods fakes with crank catch

    It's a steel painted buckle,
    Markings: " A A&S Gesh gesch rzm"
    No picture of the marking

          Yes....A reproduction unfortunately. The crank catch "style" used on this buckle doesn't match the type used on authentic TR buckles.

            As confirmed - a fake, although a strange one.

            A steel buckle with totally wrong period Assmann markings and an odd crank catch, similar to the one peculiar to Aurich.
