Not so common; more difficult to find

My newest acquisition is this handsome NSFK buckle with an uncommon/seldom encountered logo. Not sure as if the green you see on the backside is patination or marker but none the less a very nice and detailed NSFK enlisted buckle.
    Regards,
    Dan

A handsome buckle indeed and with the bonus feature of the makers logo.

What makes you say that this buckle is NSFK ?

The buckle as a group has been previously discussed within the forum and if I recall, the NSFK association was not readily embraced. NSKK Motor School perhaps ?

          Regards,

          David

Thanks all for your kind remarks on this buckle.

David, the discussion of NSFK vs NSKK I can tell you I am still fence riding. I know of the discussions we have had in the past here within the forum and each side, I believe, has an argument. I believe the NSFK was embraced as an organization; albeit shortlived. During the early - mid 1930's, so much change was going on with uniforms that I can see where the Fleigersturm used the pebbled field box to depict the NSFK organization. I am still not totally convinced that the NSKK would have both a pebbled and plain face box. Do I have proof to this - no. Were different buckles of the uniforms worn across the numerous organizations? Absolutely! Because of the constant change in uniform code, one could hardly afford to keep current with changes. The regulations for specific buckles to be worn with specific uniforms at certain times were just that - documents.

I wrote this is a hurry so I am not sure if my rambling answered your question but I am willing to listen and debate further on this subject.

                Regards,
                Dan

Dan the Man! Super nice buckle buddy! I think the green is probably patination....I've noticed that on many of my buckles as well.

Greaty buckle with added Hallmark bonus! Regardless of the ongoing debate over NSKK or NSFK: You gotta like this buckle!! Sah-Weet!

                  Cheers!

Dan, not at all ramblings and actually, a perfecting rational theory. Perhaps I was playing the Devils Advocate on this somewhat enigmatic buckle. This quite specific and extremely attractive buckle has been discussed so many times before and really, I am sure that nobody knows exactly who it was designed for. Perhaps the overt and yet non committal NS design provided a one fits all solution to organisations bereft of a specific and dedicated buckle. This buckle has of course, even been associated with war orphans for goodness sake.

Kirby, a wonderful example that you have shown and Guymauve, a remarkable image of what I assume are NSKK Motor School chaps wearing this buckle.

                            Regards,

                            David

Hi, I have many pics of Motorschulen members who wears this buckle style, but I don't see the importance to show you all. They are very little and cannot make bigger with a correct quality...
