that is a beautifully marked buckle..I have always loved this buckle type, it has so much to offer in the markings.
this was early in the M4 coding system. the earliest buckles are unmarked, or just marked with a manufacturer logo. the next generation would have the first contract marks example(RZM 21) and may include the manufacturers logo and or name. The next generation was UE,KH,KM,MA codes... then came the conjunction of the UE,KH,KM,MA codes along with an M4 code. Finally we were just at M4 codes with NO company logos or names... this explanation is very reduced, but you get the idea..>ChadComment

Very nice marked piece by Steinhauer & Luck, a maker not so often seen in any type of buckle
