Hello A great looking buckle very nice condition. The catch looked like one of my buckles and I gave it and look and I notice the H on top of the A trade mark in the center of the buckle between the tail feathers and the wing. I've never noticed the trademark before. I can't see this on yours but you might want to give it a close look. Kirby

Very nice and MINTY buckle !

There seems to be a lot of Herman Aurich steel Luftwaffe buckles out there. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just seems to be more of that maker than any other maker.

Here are a couple of mine. A 1940 R.S.S. buckle that has a little wear and a 1942 Herman Aurich buckle .

I would like to expand this thread if possible and see some different maker marked steel Luftwaffe Buckles if possible. So if you have them please post them. Thanks

Maker Mark

I wonder how many different locations Herman Aurich placed their maker mark. Mine is hard to see just below the eagle's head.
