Thank you. That is how I collect things, I start with the hardest first and work my way down. I think it is easier to collect that way. The other KM buckles will be a piece of cake.

Your EM/NCO buckle with its leather tab is ab-so-lu-tly splendid !

Mind you , a nice steel feldgrau or blue with KM reception marking on the leather tab will not be easy to find either - I know I am seriously struggling to find a good one

I agree with Yves completely...I have a gold RSS buckle with stampings as well but it is no way near as nice as yours! The blue/feldgrau KM stamped buckle is also a hard one to find. I've seen one come up for sale in the last two years....

Here's a few blue-black buckles. The first is 1940 dated on the tab. It doesn't have the navy eagle and M stamp. In this condition it may never have been sent to the navy to be stamped. I don't think the Heer would have used this color in 1940. Kirby
