    The elusive RZM/UE marked SA

Actually, the RZM/UE marked SA buckle is and in my opinion, really quite elusive. Reasonable I suppose when remembering that the SA buckle was being phased out when the first series RZM marks, were initially and perhaps clumsily introduced.

Perhaps not as remarkable as once thought, although still rarely encountered when considering the very large number of SA buckles still in circulation and very easily bought today.

    Regards,

    David

A doubly interesting SA buckle by our old friend Overhoff.

I hope that you do not mind my saying that this one piece and mobile swastika design SA, is relatively common. The same eagle design with the mobile swastika is however quite rare.

The markings on your SA are quite superb. We often see these markings on Overhoff HJ's - however this is the first time for myself, that I have seen them on an SA.

The best aspect for myself however is that wide bridge catch. Quite remarkable and again a first !!

Again, I have never seen this catch style before on this particular OLC buckle. Perhaps I am imagining it, however, it looks remarkably like a B u N design catch ??

      Super buckle.

      Regards,

      David

Hello David Some interesting points. I never really paid much attention to the catch. I remember when I bought this buckle about thirty plus years ago the markings were covered with a price tag. At that time most collecters thought any SA buckle with a RZM mark was a fake. Kirby
