Help to Identify Unit on Tab

Would appreciate any assistance in identifying the Unit of this buckle tab (who, what, where); the buckle that came with it evidently did not go with the buckle. The stitching was removed so it was easy to afix to any buckle. The unit desciption is " AD Ab? 240/6"
