SS offficer's belt and buckle

Perhaps the single response so far, has not been the most enlightening.

This is a fake SS Leaders buckle (and strap).

The obverse detail is crude when compared to an original buckle, although an attempt has been made to replicate a correct form of reverse construction.

The markings however are a complete fantasy, insofar as this combination never existed. Avoid like the plague, any buckle which displays the SS runes within a diamond !

No apologies here in relation to the slightly patronisingly sarcastic response to your reply, although my sincere apologies if I appeared rude to yourself as a fellow forum member.

I suppose we could take the minimalist flavour one step further and respond with just one word - fake.

Both you and I know that this buckle has been discussed on the forum before and it is an obvious and well documented fake. The reason why I provided more detail is that now, perhaps some of the newer collectors will be aware that these markings and to include the classic "SS runes within a diamond", are a pure fantasy and not even worthy of further investigation.

I hope that you agree and again, my apologies if I appeared a tad rude to yourself.
