    JFS Heer ?

    Hello,

I just wanted to show you guys a few MINTY steel JFS Heer buckles that I picked up in the last month or so. Though they all appear to be original textbook examples I find it a bit odd to find so many examples in such a short time. Two came from private collections and two from ended e-bay auctions? Anyhow, any opinions are welcome.

          Hi Ben,

Thanks for the kind words, but you Heer buckles dwarf mine in comparision.

Here's some close ups of each buckle.........

                  Hi Steve, very nice arrangement

Typical grey JFS Heer buckles and always with the brown painted roller bar and prongs.

The first JFS buckle shows more detailed breast feathers than the other ones.
Maybe caused through dies with different abrasion?

                  Regards,
                  Guido

Thanks for the pics Steve , I think the JFS eagle has a very distinct look about it, same way as GB, Aurich, Sieper and others, it has its own identity about it, especially the shape of the what I call "droopy beak" PS if you ever get bored of any of these four, you know where I am

You know what buckles I'm looking for so if you find them I'm sure I'll get bored with these heers really quick ! Thanks for all your input.

                          Hi Guido,

I certainly agree with you on this. Especially the second one which hardly has any detail to the feathers. Certainly must have been a well used "tired" die.
