    DLV Buckle For Opinions

From my limited experience, this one looks ok to me, but have not seen one with the 'crank' catch before. It's unmarked and the swaz has been repainted. These are the only pics I've got ... what say the forum: or ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Scott,

Nothing wrong with your 1st pattern DLV EM buckle. The crank catch is not the norm so this would be a more desirable buckle in my opinion adding icing to this nice find. Do you know for a fact that the swastika was repainted? I ask this because this buckle comes with both the painted and unpainted swastika.

Here isit's cousin, an RLB EM buckle; very similar to the DLV - mine is marked Paulmann und Crone.

Thanks for your help & photos guys. The current owner of the buckle I showed told me of the repainted swaz; I wasn't sure if it was a show-stopper or not, so I mentioned it.

            Thanks again.

The buckle I posted is selling for $150. Seems a bit high, no?

Seems to be in good all around condition and the crank catch IMO is a +
If your looking for a nice representative example I'd buy it for $150.00 even if I think it is slightly overpriced. Beside nothing collectable is getting any cheaper especially quality items. Just my $.02.

Quite a hard to find buckle - in my opinion.

Does anybody have the "down swept" wing design with a crank catch ?

                  Regards,

                  David

Just want to say again a word about the RLB/DLV relation. From what is known today the DLV and the RLB used the same buckles, drop wing and straight wing.

I don't believe there is a difference just because of the wings.
