Original Luft buckle with black? finish

I want to buy this buckle from a forum member. (I'm posting it with his approval) Does it look original?

I always check out the metal buckles, because there are such good replica's these days. Can someone reconise by the model, what the production year could be?

Gary is right : it's an original buckle by H. Aurich maker marked (see back side under eagle's beak), probably made in 1942-43.

Hi Frank,

additional to Ric and Gary: The Aurich LW buckles are often painted in a very dark grey that looks rather black.
