    A rather pleasant pair of SA's chaps!!

    The brass on nickle example is a new addition and has been an absolute pain to source. Quite rare m'thinks.

    In addition though and as a bonus, a super correlation to an earlier thread.

            Thankyou for the kind comments, however I suppose at the end of the day - they are SA buckles as no more and no less.

            This design in my opinion is intriguing though and actually, is one of my favourites, to include the feature of a pebbled background supporting the swastika.

            Here are two others within "the family".

                          Very nice looking SA's and I agree with your assessment they being one of the more intruiging buckles of the TR family. All that you need now is the static swastika which is the rarer of the 3.
                          Being one of the earlier buckles produced, my assumption is more thought was delivered towards creating this buckle with intrinsic type detailing. Your thoughts?

                              I am reasonably sure that this design of buckle will never be found with an "upright" swastika. The "mobile" and "sunwheel" swastikas certainly so, however never the "upright" - in my opinion.

                              "Window Dressing" though by the maker - buy my buckle and with no other significance toward the design !!

                              When we have a squint at all the "upright" swastika SA buckles having ever been shown on the forum, the eagle design is quite specific to the swastika and vice versa.

                              Minimal variance, although I wish though !

                              There is however an oddity to the box design here and by the very unusual strap hook securing device or "half moon" protuberance. Elongated and with a chamfered edge, so similar to the well known and documented L u F SA buckle.

                              It may be throwing snowballs at the moon, however I think that the similarity within this random group is quite interesting.
