I thought I would pull up this old thread. I picked up this very nice DRP marked belt at the Max show last week. What I really like is the belt is marked to a company in Bad Kreuznach German. This is the town I was born in. I thought it was very interesting item to have and it makes a nice set with the buckle I started the thread with. Kirby

                  Hello All,

there you have a nice belt !
And into the bargain a nice recollection to your hometown !
The stamp Dssd might stand for "Düsseldorf " !?

                  With the best greetings

                  Raphael

                    very nice set, Kirby !

and the fact, that this leather comes from your birthplace makes it even nicer !

here is mine - bit salty - but at least ... mine

                        Kirby,

What a wonderful addition to the collection. A very nice belt that really enhances your buckle and I agree with Raphael that Dssd is the acronym for Dusseldorf. I believe some of you may have seen my previously posted Postschutz buckle and belt from Dusseldorf and if not I will post once more.

By the way, when I lived in Germany, Bad Kreuznach was commonly known as "BK". As I played football for the Mannheim Bisons, we would play against other USAEUR schools to include BK. But I would be remiss if I did not mention even greater memories of the great Wine Fests & Beer Fests in that region.

                          Hello,

indeed an amazing subject and nice pics.

                          Kirby,

I wouldn't put my head the prongs/tab assembly is replaced on your Postschutz, is the maker stamping on tab readable ?

                          Best

Hello Thanks for the info on BK. I found Dan's nice set when I searched Dssd. Here's the tab on the other Postshutz. It's a very nice Overhoff & Cie tab but it's dated 1939. I thinks this is to late for this type Postschutz. Kirby

The prongs are bent. Isn't this seen alot with Overhoff? Kirby
