Not really Ken, police buckles are not rare anyway. that buckle you have there looks like a Assmann produced buckle, have you got any better pics? Is there any markings on the rear? Maybe near/inside the swastika?

But wouldn't the fact that its painted make it harder to find? Its the first I've seen.

What colour is it Ken? It is hard to tell from the pics It may make a difference in rarity I suppose,I have seen them painted before

It's painted a subdued gray/green

Hi Ken, thanks for that, in answer to your original question, if it is painted then it would not be as common as a normal Police buckle, as to adding value that would depend on the buckle collector and what he collects. I personally like Heer buckles in there original state. Hope this helps
