    Nice JFS Heer

Hello all, I am posting this on behalf of a good friend, I find the buckle really interesting. The buckle is a very nice Heer buckle in very good condition apart from either the GI that aquired the buckle or the German soldier that owned it wrote their name "Dick" on it. The buckle came from a US veteran so has not been messed around with from the war. I think it is a great buckle for interest but I could personally strangle "Dick" for spoiling the great paintwork Enjoy

I read FICK .. and I think you know the meaning of this word..

But it is a wonderful buckle in a very nice condition.

Yahr, ich verstand "fick", but if you have the buckle in hand it actually reads "dick"

Hi Ben, indeed a very special buckle. This is the second JFS buckle with this unnecessary "beautification" that I have seen. On the first one was added a lettering at the tab beside the maker stamp with following words: Josef Feix u. Söhne Gablonz.....

But I think these buckles are also worth to collect, beside the fact that your buckle is still in a very nice condition. It is a witness of the time.

              Regards,
              Guido

                hello ben,
thank you for showing this nice and interesting buckle.
maybe it is a good idea to share more pictures of personalized buckles, be it veteran or "souvenirhunter" made.
i hope you have some examples.

PS: "dick" is not too far from "fick"
