Hello Chad Here's a couple of comparison shots. The buckle could be a repaint but it looks like it's been there along time. Kirby

Super buckles - as always !

I assume that you know by displaying a "gold" HJ, you are possibly opening the proverbial Pandora's Box. A very interesting buckle that you have shown.

Without creaking towards the stance of a pedant, is there any possibility of images, in natural light?

          A potentially phenomenally important buckle.

          Anyway, back to the mundane.

A trio of the slightly less common HJ's.

          Regards,

          David

                      Hello Kirby,
Some great looking HJ Buckles. I really like the crimp catch Assman.

                      Regards,
                      Larry

Hello Thanks for the nice comments. Here's a couple of outdoor shots for David. Did anyone notice my tagged buckle is the next in sequence after Davids. I remember someone else on this forum has one that is 4 or 5 off the sequence. Kirby

                            Kirby

Thankyou for the additional images of the "gold" HJ.

A remarkable buckle in my opinion.

Although I am uneasy and nervous in connection with convenience of attaching a "Marine" label here, I really cannot see why a gold coloured HJ buckle should not exist.

The colour, the finish and more importantly, the wear and rub marks here, look exactly as they should be.

Excellent, rare and phenomenally important buckle in my opinion.

                            Regards,

                            David

Hello David A gold Marine HJ buckle makes since. Kriegsmarine, Water Police, Wasser Reichbahn are all gold. SA marine daggers have gold fittings. Kirby
