Buckle help!

Hi guys I got this to me Strange buckle. I don******180;t know anything about it and would like some info if anyone know what it is? My guess would be that it is a buckle from WW1?

Hi Lassi,

my suggestion is that the buckle looks rather like a self-made piece than a factoty made one.

This area is not my field, but I have heard that such blank buckles were also liked from craftsmen.
