Hello again Birka, NSKK not really my area, David is the man for these buckles but it could be genuine though I do find the catch strange, seems like a later catch on a early piece, and seems to be seated in the wrong place. Dont take this as a definite answer, this is just my observation

Thankyou for the images and an interesting presentation.

In my opinion, a perfectly original item, although what a pity that it has been so rigorously de nazified.

Without droning on, in my opinion an SA buckle and not NSKK.

Here is what the buckle would have looked like originally.

You have isolated a good point. The brazed catch does look odd and almost non simpatico. I have seen though quite a few of the one piece SA's with this type of catch, or minor variations of the catch, by say the the "foot" size and shape.

Just a makers idiosyncrasy in my opinion.
