I agree with what you have said, I have always thought that Assman and Overhoff had a working relationship of manufacturer vs wholesaler/retailer ... I also think that overhoff actually produced these buckles..Chad

I agree with David's picture: the prongs are similar...
Perhaps, Assmann build buckles and Overhoff supplied the prongs ???
