    Trade Guild buckle?

    Dear all,

I recently acquired this buckle. It seems to be a so-called 'Trade Guild' buckle of which type a specimen buckle is shown on page 359 of the reference book by Peter Nash called 'German Belt Buckles 1845-1945'. This one looks a bit different.

What do you think? All comments are most appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,

    Coco

A carpentry or wood working (once guild) associated buckle as you probably already known.

Numerous variations of this buckle being manufactured both pre 1945 and post 1945 - and now !

It is slightly difficult to establish, however I think that that one you have shown is more than likely, post 1945.

      Regards,

      David
