    Jungdeutscher Orden

    Jungdeutscher Orden.

A right wing youth group and possibly having an association with Der Stahlhelm, although absorbed into the HJ proper during 1933.

Any others that may be added ?

There appears to be two main designs of the buckle roundel and as shown, the differences being obvious.

Note the flat end claw tips to one of the buckles.

The consistency of the motto which translates as "True German in Every Way".

    Regards,

    David

Many thanks and of course, yours is quite a special one.

The "rough as the proverbial badgers bottom" pin and claw arrangement, which has been discussed so many times on the forum.

100% original of course and any buckle with this extremely crude claw type is worth securing in my opinion.

Another JDO which has seen better days.

              Regards,

              David

David They are some ugly prongs. Another thing that's interest is the faceplate seem to be made of copper. You can see the back through the catch and it looks copper. Kirby

                    Interesting and astute comments.

Actually, even though the claws are decidedly ugly, I am quite comfortable with them, for the period.

The buckle in toto is brass and to include the roundel.

Suggestions however of ground excavation and acid wiped

                    Regards,

                    David

                      Hello

Another buckle described as a female version, i don't know if it's true :

                        Thankyou for the images.

I really know little about the G******252;rtelschlie******223;e and actually, I have no idea how to detect a period or post 1945 "roller" mechanism.

The "roller" mechanism as often seen with original Der Stahlhelm of course.

An interesting buckle, although I do not think that there is a "female" association.

                        Regards,

                        David
