    Luftwaffe 1st Pattern

    Hello,

Just picked this one up recently. One of the better 1st patterns I've been able to find though it could be better. Anyhow the buckle is marked JD and the leather tab is marked J. Deutschbien G.m.b.H. 1937 Euskirchen. The tab is also marked L.B.A.(S), but there is no unit mark that I can find. I've seen these marked LBA before, but never with an "S" afterwards. Probably doesn't mean anything. Here are a couple pictures.

Hi Steve, just for your info, the (S) stands for "Stuttgart".

        Nice buckle.

        Cheers, Ade.

          Thanks Adrian...

As was putting this buckle away I compared it to another 1st pattern I have and noticed how "domed" shaped this buckle was compared to the other one. I tried to photograph it the best I could.

                      Steve,
Looks like there was tan paint on your buckle, field painted DAK?
                      I like it

                              Hi Dave,

I'm glad you like and good observation that I didn't even notice. It looks like it could be tan paint especially when I compare it to my other 1st pattern. Here's a couple pics.
