Original SS and 2 HJ buckles? ...

    Hello,
    What's your opinion on these 3 ?

Is it possible to tell when the ss buckle was produced +/- ?

1 H.j. buckle is marked RZM M4/39 and the other A&S RZM

    Thanks,
    Franks

            Hallo Franks,

the SS buckle was produced in 1938 by the maker with SS contract code 822 (may be C.Th. Dicke)

Btw, is that buckle for sale ?

            Best

            Ric

Back. Unfortunate he has some corrosion. I hope he's original.

I would say all the three buckles are original

Of course, it's a unusual catch produced by Assmann (M4/39), enclosed a very similar one on a DAF buckle again by Assmann.

All three are good, and the SS is very nice indeed

I agree with all about your buckles.

Ric though has raised a very important point about the 1938 SS, insofar as there is still doubt and discussions as to whether the SS contract code 822, was actually Dicke.

A rather pleasant "crimp catch" HJ by Assmann though.

Ric - do you not think that it is slightly odd that Assmann should add D.R.P.a. to their DAF-Werkschar buckle ?

                            Regards,

                            David
