    Hi all,

Great thread and it seems quite a number of us cherish these early WH pieces. To add to those shown, I have a B&N Turnerbund conversion with the eagle looking to the left, as well as the one with the eagle looking to the right that has been shown here, and a two-piece 40mm with the eagle looking left. These I have shown in an earlier thread. Sorry, I can't post pictures anymore as I have ceased to be an Association Member. I also have a full-size of the Reichswehr conversions (eagle looking right) where you can see the Reichswehr eagle on the reverse.

    Keep ´em coming!

    Kind regards,
    Karl

Hello Thanks for the nice comments. I finally got around to becoming a full member. Some very nice buckles in this thread. Here's a side view of the second buckle I posted. You can see it was made with a tall edge to fit over the Reichsheer faceplate. Kirby

                          Sorry

Sorry Ric, these pics are taken out from a french monthly "Gazette des Uniformes".

The legend says the buckle is in alu ?!

What do you think? Would it be compatible with a soldered catch?

                          I don't think so...

of course, I know original buckles alu made with alu catch feet soldered on : DAF, NSFK, RAD, SHD, RLB, Bahnschutz.....
