Advice for an auction buy please

These items will be at an auction this weekend, unfortunately I live 2500 miles away from it, and wasn't able to get additional photos from the auction house, a friend will be attending the auction, and will bid on some items for me, namely all the belts w/ buckles, and the belts w/ leather tabs. Any opinions on the Gold colored buckles (all kriegsmarine I assume), or insignia on the pictures, what are the Kriegsmarine buckles worth? This is kind of taking a chance because I don't know maker codes and haven't seen the in person, so just looking for a price to bid that won't get me into to much trouble....Chris....

            Hallo Chris,

about the KM buckle it's very difficult to confirm its originality by the pics, many brass stamped fakes surface the market.
I did sign by a red line another buckle I do not like : Heer buckle with tab probably post-war chromed with restitched tab.
I hope it was of some help.

            Best

            Ric

Thanks Ric, I should have caught that right off the bat, unfortunately I can't get more detailed pictures from the auction house. I am looking to buy these at an auction this Saturday, a friend will be doing the bidding as I live 2500 miles away, yes, Alaska is a long ways from the rest of the US.....

I didn't notice this thread until just now. I was at this auction and have the belt and buckles in my possession. I may have been bidding against your friend as there was a guy standing next to me with pages of pics on them for reference.

About the auction, the shiny Kriegs buckle and WH buckle both looked original but were highly polished by someone at some time. The SA buckle was not good. The DAK and Russian Front medals were both fake. The cloth insignia was all good.

Here are the pics of the belts and buckles.

Luftwaffe EM belt and buckle. The belt is missing the hook end, it is 38 ½” in length and is stamped XXXX Rummel XXXhausen.
