    scarce SS buckle variant

    Hello guys,

A friend of mine found a real nice SS buckle in aluminium in the ground

It is unmarked and has a plain back.

Has someone of you already seen one buckle like that?

I know the pic is small, I'll try to get a better one later.

This is indeed a VERY scarce buckle. Only a few are known. This is the second one I see who has been dug up. I own a near mint one. Congratulations to your friend!!! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

                  SS Buckle. Opinions Please.

I would like to get opinions, pro or con, on this buckle. It seems to have a repair to replace the guide since the two original mounting points for it are open. There are no markings on it save for a criss-cross pattern above one of the turned brackets for the hooks shaft mounting area.

Any and all comments are welcome and sincerely appreciated. I have researched the forum and haven't seen anything closely resembling this "repair".

                  Thanks to all in advance,

                  Charles Betz

Charles, I'm not sure why you decided to add your buckle to this thread as it has nothing to do with the buckle being discussed... aside from that, what you are showing is probably the ugliest fake buckle I have ever seen
