How common are RS&S Heer buckles?

I see many KM buckles made by RS&S but not many steel Heer buckles. So my question is how scarce are they? Also, does anyone have a photo of the rear of a Heer buckle in steel by this maker?

    Cheers, Steve

    Hi Steve,

Sieper steel heer buckles are very common! I have seen them very often and furthermore one of these in my collection (at this time no pics).

Try a search at the forum with keywords: RS&S or Sieper.

    You will get for example:

Thanks. I did try doing a search before I posted but did not find what I was looking for. The reason why I was looking for a photo of the rear is that I have agreed to purchase a buckle on the e-stand and was trying to confirm the maker as the seller is unable to read the maker marks very well. So far, the catch on the rear of the buckle shown in the first link provided and the catch on the buckle on e-stand are different, so I either don't have the correct maker or it's a variation or it's not good....

I know the pictures are not the best but I thought the details looked okay. Any opinions?

You're right. More common on the Sieper steel heer buckle is the "duck-feet-catch", also present at your buckle.

        Here is mine for comparison.

        Guido

          Hallo Steve,

another catch bridge variation of the same maker R.S.& S. : the buckle bears 1942 as date of production.

Another Heer buckle made by R.S.& S. , this time in 1940 : It's interesting to note the catch feet slightly angled inward and the difference in the ears as well.

                    As with Guido's W-H KS.

The wide foot catch, here on a Sieper SHD buckle.

                    Regards,

                    David

Everyone is only showing their steel buckles because that is what I asked to see specifically, but thanks for your photo as it makes a good reference.
