    Some new buckles

I bought an early HJ buckle froom Bill Shea (This one is the pre HJ buckle made by private firms). It was modestly priced -- Is this because of the condition or is it not very collectible? Also I took two buckles in on a big trade. One is the DJ buckle with the 1 lightning bolt and a luftshultz buckle (steel). Bill Shea has one (luft) for $450 which seems high to me. Anyway I took the Luft buckle in at 275 and the DJ buckle in at 100. Were these prices high or about right?

          Hi Dennis,

although I do not like any discussion about prices by the Forum, I think you paid a fair value for both the buckles.

          Regards

The markings are really small it is "RZM 36" All that really shows up is the RZM mark.

COOL...that's a nice circa 1933 buckle made by Berg & Nolte if my memory serves me correctly! That's a super DJ buckle you got....not many with early markings such as this one!

                Very nice!!

                Cheers...
