    SA Buckle

Hello all, I've seen so many SA Buckles on this forum I thought I would post mine. It is not marked so any opinions are welcome. Thanks, Duane

A super and probably very early period SA buckle.

This chap belongs to a "family" of SA buckles which have the very distinct feature of quite bizarre eagle and oak leaf wreath designs.

Most unusual and certainly when compared to the more "standard" SA configurations.

The remarkably interesting design feature however, being the swastika as "centrally" set, rather than as usual, being lower to centre.

      Regards,

      David

Another one that I thought may be of interest.

The same peculiar, distinct and odd detail.

This buckle being a "white metal " SA.

                Regards,

                David

Hi David, I guess I didn't really notice the posision of the swastika until you pointed it out. Pretty interesting. I have another sunwheel type which it is lower. I will post pictures of it tomorrow when there is good light to take them. Thanks, Duane

Here is my other SA Buckle. I rather like this sunwheel type. Duane

                            Hello Duane

A rather pleasant SA and I too have a slight penchant for the sunwheel swastika types.

This buckle by the eagle design belongs to a huge "family" of very similar types, although the oak leaf wreath is perhaps worthy of comment.

A slightly flattened "bottom edge" to the wreath, rather than being wholly circular.

Let me know if you would like images of similar SA's.

                            Regards,

                            David

Hi David, once again you've pointed out something I didn't notice on the wreath. I appreciate your vast knowledge on these buckles. Yes, I would like to see other examples. Thanks, Duane
