Early SS or SA Buckle?

What do you want to know? If genuine, this is a SA buckle not a SS.

Note: As of today, there is NO reliable evidence that the model with straight wings (which is not the model pictured here) was for the SS.

If it's real do you think then that it is SA? Any possibility of it being SS?

I will let others tell if it is a genuine or a repro SA buckle (I guess it is original but as long it is not a SS Buckle...), but regarding been SS, you can only dream it was, since in the very early years, SS and SA were all wearing SA buckles. Some will try to make you believe SA buckles having eagle with straight wings were buckles dedicated to the SS, but good luck if one is able to find any reliable information enforcing this thought.
Since your buckle is not even with straight wings, only strong hope can make a dream come true !!

The buckle looks OK to me but like JP says, the chance of been worn by a member of the early SS is very small. Pictures of the early SS wearing SA buckles always show the SA buckle with nickel inset.
