        Hallo Karl,

although not clearly visible by the pics , the buckle is original (IMO).
Could you confirm the maker's mark is olc (in a diamond) ges. gesch. ?

        Regards

Perhaps you could tell or enlighten me.

What is more important to you ?

That you hold an original SS Leaders buckle by Overhoff or that you attain the value, to presumably sell and make a profit ?

              I would be interested.

              Regards,

              David

Because I'm not the owner of the buckle (but I want to buy it!!!!!) my interest is in the originality and the worth too ! I hope it will answer your question.

The buckle is original, as alredy answered by other members.
The value... in this condtion... If on a table in a show for 100$, I would pick it up. for 200$ not.... Its up to you.
If I dug it up myself with the remains of a panzer SS knightcross owner.... 10.000$.... No realy, in this condition there is realy no standard.

                    "Ich verstehe !"

I hope that you buy it and enjoy it.

For the life of me, I still cannot comprehend the attraction of these "excavated" buckles, whether they be a high flying SS Leaders or a lowly Wehrmacht-Heer.

                    Gruße,

                        Karl,
I collect nickle silvered SS officers buckle and to me, Marc Verstraete was being generous offering to pay $100 for this ground dug, late period, zinc buckle. In my opinion, I see nothing appealing. Most of the details are gone. Corrosion everywhere. You can't study it. You can't put it on a uniform for display. Besides being a remnant of its former self, what else is there?

Again, in my opinion, I would rather pay more for a buckle in better condition.

This one,...? It's worth no more than 5 bucks to me.

                        Good Luck.
