              Alexandre and David,

Very nice buckles! Here is another two-piece zinc Heer. All three of our buckles look similar in manufacture and appear to have the curved prongs of the Overhoff firm.

Stranger yet....can I ask both of you to look very closely on the inner sidewall of your buckles, towards the catch end and see if you can find a small hallmark, consisting of the Assmann "A" within a circle, between two dots. My buckle has this Assmann hallmark, but it is rather small. Hope my closeup photo will give you an idea of what to look for. My hallmark was overlooked in my annual buckle cleanings for the better part of 30 years and I'm hoping someone else will find a like hallmark on a zinc buckle.

              Thanks,

              Gary

              Obv.

Marc, This logo hid from me for many years as well. Any guesses as to why an Assmann logo with curved prongs associated with Overhoff?

Assmann prongs, Overhoff prongs...... Look at the SS buckles..... I don't belive anymore that on factory was making just their own production. They where selling and buying from each others or had others make the missing pieces for them. Why would they not have done this, economy is economy, then and now.

                            Marc,

Thanks! Your explanation makes perfect sense to me.
