    Heer JFS buckle/Belt..opinion please

Belts/buckles are not my area..thus..please those with expertise weigh in on this set..the prongs on the buckle are the "nail" sharp 45 degree slant cut type..which I've alwyas thought was consistent with repros.but..would apprciate any help with this and the belt

additional views...I've thought the repros used this sharp 45 degree angle cut rather than the nice "point"..however..most repros I've seen have the cut running not front/back.but left to right..but maybe Im splitting hairs and the configuration is bad anyway.please advise..thanks

                      An extremely interesting buckle.

In my opinion though, a very unusual fake, Wehrmacht-Heer "private purchase" or "parade" buckle.

The two prime "problem" indicators are on the reverse. This method of riveting the roundel in place is not a recognised format on original Wehrmacht-Heer buckles and the stampings are spurious. The JFS logo has been reasonably well copied from the company's advertising literature and the logo found stamped on buckles is somewhat different. Finally, the DRGM declaration is nonsense for this buckle group.

As mentioned before though, an extremely interesting buckle, albeit a fake in my opinion.

                      Regards,

                      David

Thanks David you have confirmed what I suspected...I read on other re the DRGM is bogus for this type of buckle..and Im not too thrilled with the two sharp prongs on the buckle...I appreciate you taking the time to reply! Chances are if the buckle is bad..so is the belt..but..in any event ..Im not comfortable with either of them at this point.

David is indeed right : the buckle is not original

                              Scott,

in this case the belt is 100 % original late war made using a tropical type catch, more frequently this kind of belt have not the adjustment leather tongue.
